Our Battle

Born with a rare, genetic growth disorder called Russell-Silver Syndrome, Avery will always be small and will deal with the various challenges this condition brings. Our bigger fight is her newest diagnosis: Chronic colonic pseudo-obstruction. It is a life-long, most often progressive disorder of the GI tract that causes, most notably in Averys case, intense abdominal distention and pain. Currently there is no cure and very few options to help with the symptoms of the condition.
